Undertale OC: Gara.M.

Holy Golly ! This took me soo long I can't believe it's finally over
Since I'm watching so many Undertale fanart and seeing many interresting OC's, like Red by Taxiderby, Century Gothic by Anthony Collon (Youtube) Nomidot  Sunny (Deviantart) or great designs of game characters like Flowey by EverStarcatcher (Deviantart) I was so inspired to create one of mine !
Well and there he is:

My Undertale character OC, : Gara.M. or just Gara

Describtion (Origins of the design)
Originally he was a character from my older work one of my first OC. I made him to the game: Nights Into Dreams from Sega (that's why he resembles the nightmarens), his name was supposed to be Darkfall. Well...that was a while ago, I never planned to submit him.
While I was digging through my older work I stumbled upon Darkfall and I remember how fond I was of that character. Still I didn't planned to return to the Nights fanart and I still liked his design. So I redesigned him to fit more into Undertale character lore. Gara was created.. Now he serves to both: as an Original Character with his own story and a tribute to the game Nights Into Dreams ! I'm so proud of him ! (*sob *sniff)

I was planning to draw his story, but I'm not quite sure if I can do it...Fingers crossed, I'll try my best if it interest you !

The story is pretty long so better be prepared !
Here it goes !

Bio: Gara.M.

A court jester of king Asgore. In the past he was cheer and happy jester loving jokes and fun time, always making King and the Queen laugh. Little Asriel was attached to the jester, always coming to him while the King was busy. Sneaking in the halls finding Gara wandering around. Because of his son's happiness the King was fond of the jester. Everything changed after young Asriel's death. Out of grief, the King released the jester of his services. Letting him live inside the CORE, since he had nowhere else to go.

Ever since then no one heard of the happy jester. The mages claimed to hear some giggle deep inside the core from time to time, sending chills down their spine.

 

Personality:

Before Asriel's death, he was nice, energetic, cheery, happy-go-lucky attitude. Loved to wander inside the castle.

His hobbies included: Sewing, making plush toys (especially for Asriel, he loved them !), painting and playing chess.

After Asriel's death he became more secluded. His cheery attitude was gone replacing by apathy. He became serious and quiet most of the time. He began spite humans. Festering and nurturing a cruel and sadistic attitude by hurting humans.

Instead of giggling he crackles like a maniac.

Secret Facts:

His behavior changed even before Asriel's death, ever since Chara arrived at the castle. Chara seemed to enjoy his performances. Visiting him even when Asriel was not around.  In time both of them became close. Unknown to the jester, Chara was corrupting his soul inch by inch.

Chara tried to convince him to venture into the human world. Forcing him to hate human kind. It didn't work. Gara believed in humans about their good-hearted nature. After all his best friend was a human.

After Chara's and Asriel's death, jester became empty.

When Queen Toriel left, Asgore filled with grief relieved the jester out of his duty. Gara made a decision to live within the CORE, asking the King the permission to live there. The King being a good friend with him himself accepted.

Dr. Alphys got him settled on one of the lowest levels of the CORE (due to his demand). Gara shut himself from the outside World. Thinking about the death of both of his children, he started to HATE humans. Due to Chara's manipulation and his already broken heart, his soul twisted into something unrecognizable, ultimately irreversible.

His jester nature remained but it twisted with him. Seeking 'fun' and 'joy' of hurting others. Especially humans. Maintaining a childlike glee seeing humans in pain. So deep was Chara's influenced in him.

He's the first monster to be considered as evil.

 

Notable facts:

As a monster type he's a skeleton.

His name is derived from writing font: Garamond.

His soul is irreversible. Sadly.

Frisk needs to kill him in order to pass otherwise he won't show mercy.
